As an educational credit union, we've customized our student services and programs to fit your lifestyle. Our goal is to provide you with all the financial tools you need to succeed. We offer:

Hubert O. Sibley 2 + 2 Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarship Plan

Each year, 15 Hubert O. Sibley (HOS) 2 + 2 Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarship Plans are awarded to graduating high school students, affording them the opportunity to embark on their college dreams.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a resident of the State of Florida for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the application deadline. The applicant must also be a high school senior graduating by the end of the current school year and planning to attend an accredited college, university or post-secondary institution of higher learning for the coming school year. The high school must be located in Florida and accredited with the State of Florida/SACS. The applicant must be a US citizen, a resident alien, or the child of a resident alien per Florida Prepaid College Foundation Scholarship requirements.

The applicant or their parent/legal guardian must be a primary member of EdFed with an active (non-dormant) account opened on or before April 1st of the prior year. The applicant must open their own EdFed account (as a primary member), and the account must be active by the application deadline.

College Dreams Scholarship

Have you heard the news? EdFed has a new scholarship program for Miami Dade College (MDC) students! With EdFed's College Dreams Scholarship, MDC students can enter to be randomly selected in the monthly $1,500 scholarship drawing throughout 2024. With 12 scholarships awarded for a total of $18,000, EdFed helps make college dreams a reality!

Career in a Year Scholarship

Have you heard the news? EdFed has a new scholarship program for students enrolled in an Adult Education, Technical, or Vocational career program with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS)! With EdFed's Career in a Year Scholarship, students can enter to be randomly selected in a quarterly $2,500 scholarship drawing throughout 2024. With four scholarships awarded for a total of $10,000, EdFed helps M-DCPS students get on the fast track to a new career!

International Students

Our services include MDC International students. We acknowledge the sacrifice involved in furthering your education and want to assist you with all of your financial needs. The following forms of identifications will be accepted for membership:

  • Current Foreign passport
  • Current US Government issued VISA
  • Current Florida Driver License (or other US state issued DL)
  • Current Florida issued Identification Card

High School Branches

Our high school branches are coordinated by a Credit Union staff member who is present during the school's branch hours of operation. Each high school branch works closely and is sponsored by a Educational Federal Credit Union branch.
