Wire Transfer Changes
Important Information for Credit Union Members International
Wire Rules Changed on October 28, 2013

On October 28, 2013, the process for international wire transfers changed.*
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a part of the Federal Government,
has amended Regulation E. Due to this change, all financial institutions must
provide customers with certain disclosures prior to the submission of an
international wire transfer.

The change requires the Credit Union to accept international wire transfer requests in person only. The Credit Union can no longer accept requests in writing, fax, through online banking or by using a preauthorized wire form.

The $30 service charge for an international wire transfer remains the same. The new process will most likely take more time to complete and your wait time in the branch may be impacted.

You can make international wire transfer requests at any of our six branch locations from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will not accept international wire transfer requests on Saturday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Please call us at 305-270-5248 with any questions.

*There were no changes in procedures or regulations to domestic wires.
