All EdFed Savings Accounts include*:

  • Your account earns dividends once your balance reaches $100.
  • Deposits can be made through direct deposit, ACH, by mail or in person.
  • No monthly service fees or withdrawal limits.
  • Use your EdFed Free ATM card to make free withdrawals at Publix ATMs.
  • View your account online or on your mobile device with EdFed 24/SEVEN.
  • Receive free quarterly statements electronically or by mail.
  • Dividends are compounded daily and credited to your account quarterly.
  • All savings accounts are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. Government Agency.

Prime Savings

Your Prime Savings Account is your membership account. You only need a $5 minimum deposit to open a Prime Savings, which will need to remain in the account.

College Tuition Savings

With a EdFed College Tuition Savings Account, you can start planning today for tomorrow's scholar.

Coverdell Education Savings

A EdFed Coverdell Education Savings Account offers flexibility to fund your child's education. Up to $2,000 can be contributed to a single beneficiary's account per year. There is no tax deduction for the contribution; however, all amounts withdrawn for qualified educational expenses are tax-free.

Health Savings

A EdFed Health Savings Account is an IRA-like account designed exclusively for covering medical expenses incurred under a high-deductible health insurance plan. Health Savings Accounts were created by Congress to combat rising medical costs.

Holiday Savings

Don't get caught short during the holidays. A EdFed Holiday Savings Account can help make funds available for all your special gift giving. Planning ahead and establishing a spending limit will help prevent you from going overboard.

Income Tax Savings

Members' Choice Savings

Personalize the titles of up to ten savings accounts to help you save separately for any special occasion. For example: Wedding Account, Family Reunion, Graduation Trip, etc.

Money Market Account

A EdFed Money Market Account is a savings account that pays higher interest while allowing you to keep your money more accessible than a certificate of deposit. It also earns a higher rate of interest because it requires a higher minimum deposit*. A Money Market Account allows you to make up to six electronic withdrawals per month.
